Pets are family, too!

It was a sad day for pets in my house yesterday. I woke up in the morning to find my 5 inch Oscar, Madison, out of the tank in the middle of my family room floor :( He had jumped so hard he knocked the top into the tank and jumped out. His tankmate, another 5 inch Oscar, Meyer, was pinned under the tank and stunned for most of the day, hardly moving. He seems to be fine now.

We have two dogs, several hamsters and I have 3 aquariums of fish. One with fancy goldfish, one with the oscars and another trpoical tank with cichlids and bala sharks.

Late last night my daughter came downstairs to tell me that her hamster had died. We are all animal lovers in my family. A very sad day, indeed.

40 really is fabulous!

Hugh Hefner was on the radio recently as he celebrated his 80th birthday. He said that 80 is the “new 40″. If that’s true, then 40 must be the “new 20″.

This past weekend as I celebrated my 40th birthday, I realized that a) 40 is NOT old and b) I wouldn’t want to be 20 again.

With age comes wisdom. I’ve learned that if you have a wonderful husband, really great kids and friends who love you for who you are-not what they want you to be, then you pretty much have everything.

I have everything.

I do

On this day I will marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love……

This was the wording on our wedding invitations. It was true then and time has changed nothing.

Happy 14th anniversary to me and my honey!
